Manage Apple Reminders with remindctl
Create and manage Apple Reminders from the terminal with remindctl, adding personal to-dos with due dates that sync to iOS and organizing reminder lists.
Requirements
- Requires the remindctl binary and macOS; it can be installed via Homebrew with brew install steipete/tap/remindctl.
- Date filters and the --due option accept the formats below.
- Relative day names: today, tomorrow, and yesterday.
- A date in YYYY-MM-DD form.
- A date with time in YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm form.
- ISO 8601 timestamps, such as 2026-01-04T12:34:56Z.
How to use
Choose Apple Reminders when the item should sync to the user's iPhone or iPad.
This route creates an item in the Reminders app.
Use it for personal to-dos with due dates and list organization.
For scheduling OpenClaw tasks or alerts, use the cron tool with systemEvent instead.
For calendar events or appointments, use Apple Calendar instead.
For project or work task management, use Notion, GitHub Issues, or a task queue instead.
For one-time notifications, use the cron tool for timed alerts instead.
First clarify whether the user wants an Apple Reminders item or an in-chat alert.
An OpenClaw cron alert is the separate in-chat alternative.
If the user says remind me but may mean an OpenClaw alert, clarify first.
Install: brew install steipete/tap/remindctl
This is macOS-only; grant Reminders permission when prompted.

remindctl complete 1 2 3 # Complete by ID
remindctl delete 4A83 --force # Delete by ID
Choose an output format: JSON for scripting, TSV with --plain, or counts only with --quiet.
remindctl today --json # JSON for scripting
remindctl today --plain # TSV format
remindctl today --quiet # Counts only
Example: for Remind me to check on the deploy in 2 hours, ask whether the user wants this in Apple Reminders, which syncs to their phone, or as an OpenClaw alert where you message them here.

Turn a photo of handwritten letters into an installable TTF font: the user does the seeing (finding and labeling letters, judging quality) while the CLI handles all geometry such as tracing, metrics and font assembly, without editing SVG paths manually.
