Control Bluesound/NAD Players with the blucli CLI
Use the blu CLI to control Bluesound and NAD players from the command line for discovery, playback, grouping, and volume.
Requirements
- Requires the blu command-line tool, installable with go install github.com/steipete/blucli/cmd/blu@latest, which provides the blu binary.
How to use
Resolve the playback target in order: an explicitly selected player first, then the configured default player if one is set.
When no explicit player is given, the tool falls back to the config default if it has been set.
If no config default is set, pick a target explicitly before sending commands.
Install the blu binary, for example with go install github.com/steipete/blucli/cmd/blu@latest.
Pick the target player to control.
Control playback on the selected player.
Group players as needed.
Adjust the volume of the target player.
Grouping: blu group status|add|remove
For TuneIn radio, search with blu tunein search "query" and start playback with blu tunein play "query".
Prefer --json for scripts, and confirm the target device before changing playback.
